Welcome to Nurture Space
Support for agoraphobia, panic, and anxiety recovery — one small step at a time.
Hi, I'm Lucy!
I graduated with a degree in clinical psychology, which is where I developed a strong foundation in understanding human behaviour, anxiety, and the nervous system. After graduating, I worked in the NHS during COVID in community-based mental health support. I later moved into education, supporting children with additional needs and anxiety, helping them re-engage with learning in a safe and structured way.
When I developed agoraphobia myself, I had to step away from traditional working environments and rebuild my life in a different way — including home-based work supporting young people with anxiety and emotional regulation.
That experience changed how I understand recovery completely.
My Recovery
When I was going through agoraphobia myself, I started sharing small recovery steps online – breaking down complex psychological concepts into simple, practical language. I noticed something important: People didn’t need more overwhelming information.
They needed support they could actually use. Over time, I began offering 1:1 support sessions, helping people apply these ideas to their own recovery. But I also saw a pattern.
The Problem I Kept Seeing
Even with 1:1 support, many people would..
feel overwhelmed before sessions
struggle to implement everything afterwards
forget important techniques when they needed them most
or feel pressure to “do recovery correctly”
I experienced this myself, too. I would schedule support, feel hopeful — and then become overwhelmed by everything I felt I “had to do”.
Recovery doesn’t always fit neatly into scheduled time slots.
Why The Small Step Pathway Exists
The Small Step Pathway was created to bridge that gap.
Support you can access at your own pace
Short, structured guidance you can return to anytime
Simple explanations of complex science
Tools you can use in real moments of anxiety
And lifetime access, so nothing gets lost or forgotten
Instead of trying to remember everything from a single session or feeling pressure to “get it right”, you can come back whenever you need to.
Even for 10 minutes a day.
Even in the middle of difficult moments.
My Approach
I believe recovery works best when it feels
safe
manageable
repeatable
and pressure-free
You don’t need to force yourself into big leaps.
You don’t need to do it perfectly.
You just need small steps you can return to.
